What does that mean? It means that you don't have to dial up everytime
you want to use the internet because you are permanently connected.
Also Broadband4U keeps the phone line open that means you can use
the phone for a voice call or fax transmission whenever you are online.
With Broadband4U there are no Internet call charges so you can use the
Internet as much as you want, whenever you want, for one flat monthly fee.
The speed of information transfer can be from 64kbs to 1Mbs.

Which technology is Ghana Telecom using?
Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) is one of the new technologies
that convert the existing twisted-pair copper lines in the home or office
into broadband digital lines. It is called asymmetric because information
can be received faster than it can be sent. For example, data downloaded
while accessing a web page on a PC will arrive faster than data sent from
the PC while sending an email attachment. This is good for surfing the net
and downloading music and information with lots of graphic images, photographs and animations.
Purpose of the ADSL Products
The main purpose of ADSL is to enable high-speed access to the Internet.
This allows people at home or in the office to have fast access to e-mail,
information services on the web, streaming media (music and video clips),
complex websites with graphics and animation, gaming and a wide range
of other Internet applications. ADSL will enable a company to utilise the
benefits of working away from the office. The high speed of ADSL provides
users with the feel and dynamics of access into a corporate network just
as if they were sitting in the company's offices.
